The Dead Sea is one of the most famous tourism sites in Israel. Located between Jordan, Israel and the West Bank it is one of the saltiest lakes in the world. Its history stretches back to biblical times when King David used it as a place of refuge and King Herod used it for its medicinal purposes. In fact it’s the latter that has most tourists visiting this area all year round.

Many term paper writing articles claim that individuals afflicted with skin conditions get healed or come out better physically after spending time in these saline waters. Dead Sea salt and mud have also been reputed to have helped treat health conditions such as stress, insomnia and rheumatologic ailments.

Climatotherapy is adapted to the various climatic differences of the area around the Dead Sea such as its temperature, pressure as well as humidity. Heliotherapy on the other hand takes advantage of the biological effects caused by the reduced effects of the suns rays while Thalasotherapy exploits the physical advantages inherent in water from the Dead Sea.

The Dead Sea is more than just a health resort though. It also supplies large amounts of potash and bromine for fertilizer production. Salts from the sea are also used to create cosmetic products and healing unguents sold to those that can’t travel to Israel.
